Deep garnet color with a violet cast, oak barrel aging for 18 months and high quality Edna Valley fruit leads to ripe blackberry, pepper, and toasty spice aromas. A soft, supple entry leads to a fruity-yet-dry medium-full body of blackberry, boysenberry, black pepper, and delicate spice flavors. Finishes with a tangy, yet polished, tannin fade. This vintage was rated 90 points – Exceptional and awarded a gold medal from the Beverage Testing Institute May 03, 2008
