Two separate harvests eleven days apart captured the peak maturity of the grapes. The wine was aged in new French and American oak barrels for 8 months as well as neutral barrels for 5 months. A rich and powerful wine with lush texture and well-defined blackberry flavors. Note the spicy black pepper finish. This vintage was rated 89 points – Highly Recommended and awarded a Silver Medal from the Beverage Testing Institute April 29, 2009. This wine is Certified Sustainable by Lodi Rules Protected Harvest.
